Dear Rev. King:

Your letter came this morning. It had not come when I talked with you over the telephone yesterday. I thank you kindly for pledging $250 and if you do this it will be an excellent contribution for Dexter Avenue Baptist Church; and especially so since you are just taking charge.

I want to say again that I think you did a most acceptable job when you preached at Friendship last Sunday.

Sincerely yours,
[signed]
