Dear Friends:
Thank you very kindly for your recent contribution in the amount of twenty-five dollars ($25.00).
We, here at the MIA, will always miss your presence. There is still much to be done in the freedom struggle and we must not give us now. We are very proud of the stand taken in Albany. Maybe in the not too distant future, we will have the courage here in Montgomery to sit-in, stand-in or stay-out.

1. Hazel Robinson Gregory (1920–2011), a native of Montgomery, worked as a clerk at St. Jude Catholic Hospital before being hired as secretary of the MIA in 1956. After nearly ten years with the MIA, Gregory retired in 1966. She also worked for the Alabama Department of Corrections and for the Montgomery Board of Education.
