This lesson focuses on the early life of Martin Luther King, Jr. During the online course, you will visit several places in Atlanta, GA, where King spent his childhood years. You will learn about King's family and the influence of Martin Luther King, Sr., on his son.
On January 15th, 1929, Michael King was born into the King family with a long-standing tradition in Baptist ministry. His grandfather A. D. Williams, and his father, Martin Luther King, Sr., were ministers at the Ebenezer Baptist Church, in Atlanta, GA. After finishing his education at Crozer Theological Seminary Martin Luther King, Jr., returned to Ebenezer, where he became a minister in 1948.
