Professor Clayborne Carson traveled to Selma, Alabama, to commemorate the fifty-first anniversary of the March 1965 "Bloody Sunday" voting rights march. He was also honored for his scholarly contributions by the Selma Bridge Crossing Jubilee organization at its Freedom Flame Gala Dinner on March 5.
