Nov 11 2015

This past spring, from March 16th until March 20th, the US Embassy hosted Dr. Clayborne Carson for a series of forums and lectures on obtaining full and equitable citizenship for all Jamaicans within the context of his work on Dr. King. Dr. Carson facilitated several conversations regarding the advancement of responsible and democratic governance with students on the campuses of the University of the West Indies at the Edna Manley College of the Visual and Performing Arts. He applied the successes and strategies of the civil rights era to the present days as a means to suggest solutions to the people of Jamaica.
